Since the introduction of the VIDI X microcomputer, there has been a continuous influx of school applications. Schools from all parts of Croatia have been enthusiastically sending us their ideas, wishes, and motivations to set up their own VIDI X classrooms. The number of schools that have applied has now reached 70. Notably, 13 schools have taken an extra step by, on their own initiative, preparing, recording, and editing short videos.
The VIDI company has prepared 300 new microcomputers, currently undergoing testing, that are scheduled to be deployed to classrooms within the next month. While the overall number of school applications is on the rise, certain schools truly went above and beyond with their exceptional submissions.
As part of the VIDI X project, a remarkable total of 13 schools from across Croatia demonstrated exceptional dedication by creating videos on the topic “Why does our school want VIDI X?”. The students took charge, developing their own storylines and filming and editing their videos. They passionately elaborated on their ongoing projects and shared their aspirations for future endeavors.
The students approached this task with enthusiasm, and it was heartening to see that many of them are well-versed in STEM fundamentals and have numerous ideas that they aspire to bring to life with the aid of VIDI X. . You can view their impressive video creations HERE.
The budding videographers and actors come from Vukovar Gymnasium, Zagreb School of Electrical Engineering, Nova Gradiška School of Electrical Engineering and Economics, Velika Gorica Gymnasium, Josip Kozarac Primary School, Sesvetska Sela Primary School, Konjščina Secondary School, Marko Marulić Secondary School, Pregrada Secondary School, Rovišće Primary School, Đurđevac Vocational School, Županja Technical School and Ivan Martinović Primary School.
We hope that the remarkable efforts made by these schools will be acknowledged and that they will proudly boast their own VIDI X classrooms soon.
As part of the “Dream and Make It Come True” initiative, the VIDI X Project continues to seek Friends of the project – companies willing to equip a primary or secondary school in Croatia with VIDI X microcomputers to provide children with the opportunity to learn programming basics from an early age and foster their development in the realm of digital technologies.
If you wish to become a Friend of the project and join other donor companies in providing a VIDI X classroom to one of these schools, please feel free to contact us!
